House Shoes

Cast on 42 stitches with size US # 8 needles ; 2nd on the same needle cast on 42 stitches work as follows :
Row : 1 Knit 15 , Purl 1 , Knit 10 , Purl 1 , Knit 15
Row 2: Knit across .
Row 3 : Knit 15 , Purl 1 , Knit 10 , Purl 1 , Knit 15 .
Row 4 : Knit across .
Work as stated until the shoes measures 4 inches .
Row 1 : Decrease 5 stitches at the beginning making sure that you have 10 sts after decreasing , purl 1, Knit 10 , Purl 1 , Knit 15 , Do the same to the 2nd shoe .
Row 2: Decrease 5 stitches at the beginning , Knit across ; Do the same to the 2nd shoe , thrn Knit across .
Work the pattern ; Knit 10 , Purl 1 , Knit 10 , Purl 1 , Knit 10 .
Knit across , work until the house shoes are about 7 inches long .
Decrease : Knit 2 together through the back loop all the way across ; 16 stitches .
Knit all the way across .
Decrease : Knit 2 together through the back loop all the way across ; 8 stitches .
Leave a 16 inch thread for sewing up , cut loose and thread through a big eyed needle pull in a gather sew across top of foot until you come to where you bond off , tie off thread . Do the same for 2nd shoe .
Fold up at the back of the heel and sew it up , the same for the 2nd shoe .
